What to see and do
Visitors will be impressed with the clean and neat town of Boyup Brook set amongst the surrounding hills and rolling countryside. The double streets gain many comments with the gardens and lawn in the centres, and artistic banners painted by the local school children. Activities can be as varied as your health dictates, from tackling the 6 km walk on the town walk trail, to a wander through the Pioneer Museum incorporating the Masonic Lodge. Boyup Brook is a home for Country Music with Harvey Dicksons’s Country Music Centre – a must see; and a Country Music Club which hosts one of the largest Country Music Festivals in the state. If our native plants and animals are your special requirement Boyup Brook can supply that too, for a visit to Roo Gully Wildlife Sanctuary will give you an insight into the life of a kangaroo, and Perup Ecology Centre will show you other animals that abound in that area of the district. Of course spring is just the right time to view the many wildflowers, and also the open gardens. Resident artist, Mr. Sandy Chambers, always welcomes visitors to his home and gallery, and is always pleased to explain his unique street art in the form of sand sculptures and holograms.
